Terms of service
Last Updated: 11/June/2025
These Terms of Service govern your use of the Ultimate Routes website and the purchase of digital route packs (“PDFs”) from us, operating as a Sole Trader based in the United Kingdom.
By purchasing any product or using this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
1. About Us
Ultimate Routes is operated by Peter Hankinson, a Sole Trader established in the United Kingdom. All transactions are subject to UK law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
2. Digital Products
All products sold are digital downloads, provided in PDF format. These documents contain route information such as itineraries, Google Map directions, overview maps, elevation profiles, hotel suggestions, and more.
Upon purchase, you will receive access to your digital content via email, which includes a secure download link, following confirmation of payment.
Please note:
- The PDF file will be locked to prevent editing or copying, but you will still be able to print it for personal use.
- Each PDF will be stamped with your order details, including your Order Number, Name, and Billing Address, as part of our anti-piracy measures.
- Custom Routes will be delivered within 2 weeks, though more complex requests — such as longer trips or routes with detailed customisations — may take longer (we will confirm estimated delivery dates once your order has been confirmed). We recommend ordering well in advance of your intended travel dates.
By purchasing, you agree not to share, distribute, or modify the content in any way. Your purchase grants a personal, non-transferable licence for individual use only.
3. Pricing & Payment
All prices are listed in GBP (£). Payments are processed securely through our chosen payment provider(s).
4. Cancellation Policy
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you may cancel your order within 14 days of purchase. However, because you are purchasing digital content, your right to cancel is subject to the following conditions:
- You may cancel your order within 14 days of purchase by emailing us at sales@ultimateroutes.co.uk, provided you have not started downloading the PDF.
- For Custom Routes, you may cancel your order at any time before the route has been delivered to you via email.
- If you have already started downloading or accessed the digital product, you acknowledge and agree that your right to cancel and request a refund is waived under regulation 37 of the Consumer Contracts Regulations.
5. Refunds
You may request a refund within 14 days of purchase (or for Custom Routes, within 14 days of delivery) by contacting us via email at sales@ultimateroutes.co.uk, provided you have not started downloading the PDF.
Upon checkout you acknowledged and agreed to the immediate supply of digital content and accepted that you would lose your legal right to cancel and receive a refund under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 by starting the download. However, in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015, you retain the right to request a repair, replacement, or refund if the PDF is faulty, not as described, or otherwise not of satisfactory quality.
If the PDF is corrupted or fails to open, please contact us at sales@ultimateroutes.co.uk with a description of the issue, and we will provide a replacement or issue a refund, as appropriate.
Refunds, if granted, will be made using the same method of payment used for the original transaction.
6. Intellectual Property
All content sold or displayed on this site is the intellectual property of Ultimate Routes. Your purchase grants you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the route PDF for your own travel purposes. You may not copy, resell, redistribute, or modify the content without written permission.
7. Limitations of Use
By using this website, you agree that you will not:
- Attempt to decompile, reverse engineer, or extract the source code of our website or its products.
- Use the website or its associated services in a way that abuses or disrupts our networks or other services.
- Transmit or publish any harassing, indecent, fraudulent, or unlawful material.
- Upload or distribute viruses, malware, or other harmful code.

8. Liability
The routes provided are intended for recreational use and general guidance. We take great care to ensure the accuracy of our route information by using Google Maps. However, road conditions, closures, local regulations or changes may occur outside our control. You are responsible for verifying current travel conditions, complying with local laws, and ensuring your own safety, including driving responsibly and using appropriate equipment.
You are also responsible for making sure the vehicle used is roadworthy, suitable for the chosen route, and that you comply with all applicable traffic laws, road signs, and local conditions.
The closure of a mountain pass or any part of a route due to weather, road maintenance, or other factors outside of our control does not render the digital product faulty and does not entitle you to a refund.
We do not exclude or limit in any way our liability to you where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for breach of your legal rights in relation to the digital products.
9. Changes to these Terms
We reserve the right to review and amend any of these Terms of Service at our sole discretion. Upon doing so, we will update this page and the 'Last Updated' date. Any changes to these Terms of Service will take effect immediately from the date of publication.
10. Contact
If you have any questions about these Terms or would like to request a cancellation or refund, please contact us at sales@ultimateroutes.co.uk.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the English courts.
